WHO WE ARE

Cyber Security, Outsourced IT & Managed Services

In 2008 after selling his first business Corey Calvin founded a small IT consulting company to bring secure and reliable IT to a handful of life sciences startups. With a degree in IT and years of working in IT departments for large corporate enterprises, Corey not only supplied service and support to those first clients, he advised and helped them plan for the future.

Today, 14 years later, most of those first clients are still Tech River partners. As those first clients grew in size and success, so did their requirements, taking Tech River from a small startup company to a full service outsourced managed IT and cybersecurity enterprise serving clients all over the United States.

Delivering value without spin or hassle

Unlike many of today’s IT service providers, we’re not a sales company posing as an IT business. We offer flat-fee options, we deliver what your business needs at a predictable cost – no surprises. Whether you require an extensive, complex system or just a few IT services, we can help you. And we’ll do it with the kind of person-to-person support you find in small service providers.

Although we still have strong ties to the Medical Device and Biotech space in Minneapolis, our clientele has expanded to sizable national property developers, assisted living facilities, non profits and law firms. While our services are not industry-specific, our knowledge and skill in these industries—like navigating compliance requirements—is a big bonus our clients appreciate.

We are small enough to be a true partner, yet large enough to manage the most complex IT requirements.

COREY CALVIN

Founder and President of Tech River

Corey has been in IT Services since 1996 and a business owner and entrepreneur since 2006. He enjoys simplifying technology for clients to the point where they wonder if he’s working magic. Shazam!

He believes IT companies and the technology they support should be a true asset to today’s business owners and works to make that a reality for every customer.

Corey and his beautiful, supportive wife have two young children. In their free time, you’ll find them boating on the St Croix River or skiing Afton Alps and are strong advocates for animals and the environment.
